Pressure Points:


Red indicates an origin. Blue indicates an insertion. Since in many cases nerves, muscles and tendons all are being attacked at the same time it is a difficult and sometimes arbitrary decision as to what hurts the most. Therefore you will find a lot of “and/or” statements in the following list.

Unless otherwise indicated (e.g. pinch) all points are to be ground by finger tip, knuckle, elbow, chin or whatever.

    1. Temple (temporalis and/or the auriculotemporal nerve)
    2. Tip of ear (Auricular [Darwin’s] tubercle and/or the helix) pinch
